Recap | March 2025

Important days and events in Pink

In March, we celebrated International Women’s Day and Transgender Day of Visibility. The events organized at Pink were dedicated to these two topics, in the format of discussions and book readings.

March 8 – International Women’s Day: Women shape our societies, drive progress, and deserve equal opportunities in all aspects of life. We must acknowledge women’s impact and contributions in different fields. Let’s celebrate Women’s Rights every day!

March 31 – Trans Day of Visibility: March 31 is a day to celebrate the Trans Day of Visibility, speak out about #trans people and celebrate gender diversity. It’s also a time to highlight the ongoing struggles for equality—especially the need for legal gender recognition in Armenia.

Without the ability to change gender markers on official documents, trans people face daily discrimination in employment, healthcare, and public life. Recognizing trans identities legally is not just a formality—it’s a matter of dignity, safety, and human rights. Legal gender recognition is essential for equality!

Free Medical Services

On March 26, at the Pink office, the professional team from “Doctors Without Borders” conducted free testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, and Syphilis. Visitors received pre-test and post-test counseling, had the opportunity to take tests, and learn about their health status.

The services were provided by an experienced doctor, nurse, and counselor, who operated at a high professional level, ensuring a quality and safe environment.

Considering the success of the collaboration and the significant interest from visitors, there are plans to organize similar testing opportunities in the near future.

Preparing for Pride Month

We recently announced two important events that will take place in June, during Pride Month.

Over the past 10 years, the Rainbow Forum has become more than just an event—it has transformed into a safe space for self-expression, connections, and a sense of belonging for many of us. Organized by Pink, this annual forum has grown into a symbol of the LGBT+ movement and solidarity in Armenia.

And now, the 10th anniversary forum is approaching!

From June 19 to 21, get ready to come together—stronger, prouder, and louder than ever—to celebrate the journey so far and recharge with new energy to fight for a future we all deserve. Participation details will be announced soon.

We can look forward to inspiring discussions, empowering workshops, heartfelt stories, and the unbreakable spirit of the movement that makes this forum so special.

A decade of resilience.
A decade of visibility.
A decade of progress.

Mark your calendars—the 10th Rainbow Forum is going to be unforgettable!

Pink is organizing the 5th annual Pride Camp on June 28-30, as a long-standing tradition.

Discussions around the campfire, meetings with experts, games, films, and group activities will make the days even more engaging, fun, and memorable for the camp participants as they spend time together.

Interested people can fill out the participation form (in Armenian), and expect a response from us after June 1.
