{"id":1681,"date":"2013-08-29T15:11:26","date_gmt":"2013-08-29T11:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkarmenia.org\/news-events\/statement-regarding-the-ra-draft-law-about-amendments-to-the-ra-law-on-equal-rights-and-equal-opportunities-of-women-and-men\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T12:45:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T08:45:40","slug":"statement-regarding-the-ra-draft-law-about-amendments-to-the-ra-law-on-equal-rights-and-equal-opportunities-of-women-and-men","status":"publish","type":"news_events","link":"https:\/\/pinkarmenia.org\/en\/news-events\/statement-regarding-the-ra-draft-law-about-amendments-to-the-ra-law-on-equal-rights-and-equal-opportunities-of-women-and-men\/","title":{"rendered":"Statement regarding the RA draft law \u201cAbout amendments to the RA law on \u201cEqual rights and equal opportunities of women and men\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"549\" height=\"290\" src=\"https:\/\/pinkarmenia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gender-inequality.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-661\" style=\"width:348px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pinkarmenia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gender-inequality.jpg 549w, https:\/\/pinkarmenia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/gender-inequality-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RA draft law about amendments to the RA law on \u201cEqual rights and equal opportunities of women and men\u201d was presented by the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to have it included in the August 29, 2013 agenda of the RA government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paragraph 4 of Article 27.1 of the RA Law on \u201cLegal acts\u201d prescribes that the body elaborating the draft shall, alongside with the submission of the draft regulatory legal act to impact assessors, arrange public discussions on the draft, the aim of which is to notify natural and legal persons on the draft regulatory legal act, as well as to collect their opinions and to carry out the necessary adaptation works of the draft regulatory legal act based thereon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paragraph 6 of the order on organizing and conducting public discussions of regulatory legal act drafts endorsed by # 296-N decree of March 25, 2010 on \u201capproving the order over organizing and conducting public discussions\u201d stipulates that the term set for conducting public discussions is minimum 15 days, if the body elaborating the draft hasn\u2019t defined a longer term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The justification of the draft law reads that it was posted in the website of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mss.am\/\">www.mss.am<\/a> on August 24, 2013, which means 4 days right before submitting the drat to the RA Government agenda (2 working days).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RA law on \u201cEqual rights and equal opportunities of women and men\u201d of May 20, 2013 is already not a proper and full legislative act regulating the issues existing in the field.
