It\u2019s kind of like that but I can\u2019t see.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"tlod\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reddit user RedzandBluez\u00a0explains, \u201cWhen I was 11 or 12, I didn\u2019t really understand the difference between boys and girls. To me, they were the same except that men turned me on and women didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI did not know about body parts (breasts, vagina, penis, etc.) and yet, I was attracted to my same sex. Because of my unique situation, I can tell you that being gay is not a choice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He adds: \u201cWhen I meet someone, what I go by is their voice, their smell, their kindness, and their willingness to help me when needed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sooooo basically, the other four senses we often forget about when we\u2019re sighted. Makes sense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">User commanderzilyana concurs. For him, it\u2019s all about the sound of a\u00a0guy\u2019s voice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI hear the voices of guys and it just sounds attractive to me,\u201d he writes.\u00a0\u201cEven though I can\u2019t \u2018see\u2019 them physically mentally I can picture how they look.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The same goes for rkingett, who writes:\u00a0\u201cI can\u2019t tell you anything other than, well, when I hear a man\u2019s voice I like, I get an erection. I don\u2019t know how else to explain it other than that. I just knew I never found women sexually attractive, like at all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019s a cultural trope that most people (men and women, gay and straight) prefer to close their eyes while kissing and turn the lights down (or even off) during sex,\u201d\u00a0User easwaran\u00a0writes. \u201cWe might think we\u2019re all about visuals, but actually when it comes down to it, there\u2019s a lot more going on that we often don\u2019t think about.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">AllHarlowsEve, who identifies as pansexual, describes it like this: \u201cHonestly, it\u2019s not all that different from how sighted people know they\u2019re gay.
