Pink’s annual report will be published soon

07-05-2020

As you know, every year Pink publishes its report on Human Rights Situation of LGBT People in Armenia, which presents cases of human rights violations of LGBT people during the year combined with discrimination based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity. The report also includes monitoring results of the discussions on legislation addressing the life and rights of LGBT people and other public debates.

You can read our previous reports in the “Publications” section of our website.

The report on Human Rights Situation of LGBT People in 2019 will be published on May 15, 2020, ahead of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

During 2019, various attempts were made to manipulate LGBT issues, prompting the Government to express its position and introduce legal regulations to limit the activities of LGBT persons and human rights defenders. The actions of individuals and organizations not directly involved in LGBT advocacy work have also been linked to gay “propaganda”, and allegations were made against them for “propagating perversion”. In particular, their activities were hindered, public insults and threats were made against them.
