“Knowledge & rights” training announcement
“Public Information and Need of Knowledge” NGO with the support of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Norway has started to implement the project “Diversity” since November 2010. Within the project the organization is implementing “Knowledge and Rights” 2-day training course, which aims to unite youth around such values as cultural diversity, respect towards different groups in the society, tolerance, equality, human rights, democracy, civil society etc.
Participation to the “Knowledge and Rights” training will allow you not only to get knowledge about stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination, tolerance, human rights, democracy and civil society, discuss it all with other interested and active young people, but also to obtain new acquaintances, new opportunities for cooperation, as well as to create a ground for your own civil initiatives.
“Knowledge and Rights” trainings are ongoing. Since 2011 “Knowledge and Rights” trainings were held in Yerevan, Artik, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Goris, Kapan, Stepanakert, Gavar and Spitak which was attended by more than 400 young people. 40 young civil society activists, who demonstrated activeness during the trainings, were given an opportunity to participate in “GATE-Gender, Activism, Tolerance, Equality” youth camp in October 2011 and July 2012, as a result of which, new youth initiatives were established.

Upcoming training course will be held on November 19-20 in Dilijan, 21-22 in Noyemberyan and 23-24 in Berd.
The training is free of charge including training materials and coffee-break. The participants will receive a certificate of participation and the most active ones will have an opportunity to take part in the annual “GATE – Gender, Activism, Tolerance, Equality” youth camp of the project for free.
