Presentation of Media Monitoring Results

On September 18, the results of the media monitoring titled “Manipulation of Issues Concerning LGBT+ Persons During the First Half of 2026” were presented at Pink’s office.

The media monitoring was conducted from January to July 2026 to examine dangerous narratives, hate speech, and disinformation targeting LGBT+ persons and issues concerning them during the pre-election, election, and post-election processes.

The monitoring results showed that disinformation surrounding LGBT+ issues was prevalent during this period. Of particular concern was the spread of content targeting the LGBT+ community through the use of artificial intelligence tools.

During the meeting, participants discussed the monitoring results in detail, including the main trends identified, as well as next steps and possible actions.

The media monitoring report was prepared with the financial support of the Democracy Development Foundation.
